Farrelly Mitchell has been named in a consortium selected to bring to fruition a major project to convert poultry feathers from discarded waste into valuable raw materials.
News of the announcement was today carried in Ireland’s Agri land publication.
The project, under the auspices of the EU-funded Project, UNLOCK and KARMA2020 initiatives, and coordinated by CIDETEC, is regarded as an exciting development in the evolution of the circular economy.
Project UNLOCK is an evolving story as there will be several milestones on the way to the completion of the project. It promises to be significant in Europe’s ongoing responsiveness in curbing the threat of climate change.
