Due to continued growth in demand for our services, an exciting position has arisen for a highly motivated professional to join our team as a food processing consultant. This hybrid position is based at our head office in Dublin. The successful candidate will work on various client projects across multiple international markets, with a strong focus on the USA. Travel to California, Ohio, Illinois, Texas, and New Jersey will be required.

This is a unique and highly varied opportunity for an exceptional all-round candidate who is open to working on challenging client projects covering food processing systems. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience working as a consultant for the food processing industry or in a food process engineering role. In addition, a real passion, understanding, and keen interest in food processing systems, food science and food engineering is expected.

The successful appointee will be a high-performing individual with a professional and strong attention-to-detail approach, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a problem-solving ‘can-do’ attitude. They must be fully fluent in English written and spoken word, possess excellent MS Office capabilities, and have strong report writing skills.

Importantly, they will be self-starters who can manage their time effectively while contributing to the operational and strategic development of the business.

Key Skills / Requirements:

  • A relevant university qualification at honours graduate or postgraduate level in food processing, food systems, or a related area is required
  • Proven experience in food processing and manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Experience with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety management systems.
  • Familiarity with modern food processing technologies and equipment.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
