Sean is a food and agribusiness analyst at Farrelly Mitchell. With a background in food and agribusiness strategy and supply chain management and optimisation, Sean has a strong understanding of what is required for a product to go from farm to fork. He is well versed on the global challenges impacting the agri-food industry and has consulted on a diverse range of projects regarding due diligence, sustainability standards, and market studies.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree from University College Dublin where he majored in Food and Agribusiness Management and a Masters in Food Business Strategy. He is a clear strategic thinker with an eye for sustainability, business planning, market analysis, and project management.
Prior to his work at Farrelly Mitchell, Sean has gained invaluable work experience as an operative and advisor for Ballyhandle Farm Ltd, where he drafted a 10-page report for a 500-cow dairy farm on its financial and production performance compared to industry averages taken from the Teagasc National Farm Survey. He successfully planned the inbound and outbound logistics ensuring the best possible service level while minimising waste. He was also point of contact for various internal and external stakeholders such as third-party logistics and dealt with any arising issues leading to smooth operations.
