Elena is a manager at Farrelly Mitchell. She has extensive agricultural knowledge gained while working on various international projects in the agribusiness and food industry. She is responsible for the delivery of complete tender and proposal documentation according to client specifications, as well as the identification and selection of potential projects of interest.
Most recently she was also involved in conducting extensive analysis and stakeholder consultations with the aim of supporting the decision-making process of several governmental institutions in Romania, Macedonia and Saudi Arabia. Elena is currently in the process of completing her degree with UCD’s MSc in Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development program.
Prior to joining Farrelly Mitchell, Elena was a Junior Agricultural Consultant with the Macedonian Consulting Group in Skopje, Macedonia. As a part of this role she was involved in supporting the national government institutions in several areas including in-depth analysis of the national legal framework on agricultural cooperatives through a review of existing legislation on agricultural cooperatives and quantitative field research including individual stakeholder interviews and focus group discussions; development of a green and competitive national broiler sub-sector; analysis for the implementation of investments for the construction of distribution centres by the Ministry of agriculture, food and water economy focusing on the domestic fruit and vegetable trade; and analysis of the national organic product supply chains and identification of alternative distribution channels.
