Appointments announced at Farrelly & Mitchell agri-food specialists

Farrelly & Mitchell, international food and agribusiness management consultants, has announced a number of strategic appointments to its regional and head offices.

Najeeb Alhumaid is announced as Partner, Saudi Arabia region. Mr Alhumaid joined Farrelly & Mitchell in 2014 and is based at the Riyadh office, from where he has contributed greatly in expanding the consultancy’s Middle East business.

Wedad AlMousa, a graduate in International Finance, and formerly a consultant with Boston Consulting Group and HSBC, is also based in Riyadh, where she has been appointed Food & Agribusiness Analyst.

Stephen Awuah was recently appointed as Senior Manager to the company’s Africa (SSA) Office in Accra, Ghana. Prior to joining Farrelly & Mitchell, he was an independent agri-food consultant to a variety of organisations including FAO, US Aid and African Development Bank.

Meanwhile, there have been several additions to Farrelly & Mitchell’s Head Office teams in Dublin, Ireland

Diarmaid Williams is promoted to the position of Business Development & Tender Manager. Mr Williams has 16 years’ experience in media and corporate communications and joined the company in early 2020.

Amy Ward Whelan recently took up the position of Project Specialist. Ms Ward Whelan has considerable experience in food and agribusiness having previously worked with Ornua, KPMG and most recently Meade Potato Company in various marketing, consulting, and procurement roles. She holds a degree in Food Science and a Masters in Food Business Strategy from UCD / Smurfit School.

Elena Radinoska Keane joins the firm as Tender & Proposal Specialist. Elena previously worked with the Macedonian Consulting Group in Skopje and holds a first-class degree in Agricultural Economics.

Shane Walsh joins the company’s project delivery team as a Food & Agribusiness Analyst.  Mr Walsh was recently appointed to the company’s Dublin office, having previously worked for Penrith Solar Farms (Australia) and HedgeServ.  He holds an MSc in Co-Operatives, Sustainable Development and Agri-Food business at UCC and BAgr Sc degree in Food & Agribusiness Management from UCD.
