Stephen is a regional director (SSA) with Farrelly Mitchell and leads the firm’s Ghana (SS Africa) office, located in Accra. He is a seasoned food and agribusiness professional having consulted across a wide range of agribusiness and food processing assignments in Ghana and West Africa.
His deep experience includes managing large-scale farming and agribusiness projects in livestock, poultry, crops, and agro-processing. He provides practical and actionable advice and support to clients and has directed investments across each link of the food and agribusiness value chain in Ghana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Senegal, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
He played a central role in facilitating the disbursement of a $168 million fund across 3,000 agri-food enterprises over a period of 4 years in Ghana, under the Financing Ghanaian Agriculture Project. He also designed a strategy to implement the Ghana National Mango Plantation Project. Stephen has also provided corporate training, coaching, mentoring and fundraising to over 200 export SME agri-food businesses and over 5000 smallholder farmers to enhance and grow the value and volume of their agricultural products and facilitated exports to international markets.
Prior to joining Farrelly Mitchell, Stephen worked as an independent agri-food consultant to a variety of organisations including FAO, US Aid and African Development Bank.
