Imane Darkaoui

Imane is a graduate in environmental economics and her knowledge to date is drawn primarily from working within the field of agricultural economics, in a research and development capacity.

She has held highly regarded internship positions in various commercial and insurance industries in Ireland and internationally. She has conducted a number of socio-economic and environmental sustainability research projects throughout her master’s degree.

These research assignments address global environmental issues from agriculture, marine and energy economics through impact assessments, economic modelling, and policy recommendations.  

From a background in business, economics and global environmental studies, Imane is experienced in diverse working environments in Morocco, England and Ireland. Her work at Teagasc involved an assessment of sustainability data from Ireland’s National Farm Survey and the development of key policy recommendations in favour of advancements of GHG inventories.

At Wafa Assurance in Morocco, she participated in the facilitation of financial and business operations, communicated with clients and assisted in project delivery. She has also actively volunteered with local charities in the UK to raise awareness of global food security. 

Imane is highly knowledgeable on delivering socio-economic and environmental data assessments, consumer surveys, and cost-benefit analysis for project proposals and for climate adaptation and mitigation plans.
